A Monona, Wisconsin native, Bill Scheer turned professional in 1986. In 1990, he was rated the number one student in the country at a PGA school with a special focus on teaching and golf shop operations. He has been the head professional at Glenway Golf Course since 1999. His knowledge of the golf swing and easy to understand method of communication has made him a popular instructor for all levels of players. Bill coached the Madison Area Technical College golf team for 9 years and was voted five times the Wisconsin Junior College “Coach of the Year.” His junior program continues to draw over 200 kids a year and many of his students have gone on to become PGA professionals.
