6^th graders created three beautiful serving trays of Moorish inspired tiles for the auction.  After studying Moorish (Islamic Spanish) art from the 9^th-15^th centuries, and particularly the tile designs that emerged from this period and beyond, students designed and created their own highly patterned colorful tiles.  There are six tiles in each 13” x 19” wooden tray.
