Description
Made of dichroic glass and fine silver (precious metal clay), this lovely contemporary pendant is an abstract work of art in itself. Mrs. Falk models her pieces using precious metal clay, which is a combination of pure silver and an organic binder that burns away when fired in a kiln. In this piece, she combined the silver with fused dichroic glass to create her wearable art.1 ½” diameter
Special Instructions
Carole Falk is an artist and writer about the arts. After earning an MFA in Ceramics, she worked in clay for twenty-five years. She subsequently studied the art of fused glass and PMC (Precious Metal Clay) and has been awarded certification by the PMC Guild. She had a one person show at the MFA in 2006 and was "Artist of the Month" at the Walters Museum shop in 2006 and 2007. Most recently she participated in an internationally juried art/craft show. The pendant in the auction reflects her interest in natural patterns and three dimensions in miniature. 1
