Michael Harrington began to draw while in middle school. His early inspiration came from illustrators such as N.C. Wyeth, and Maxfield Parrish. He studied advanced drawing, illustration and watercolor at the University of Missouri under the tutelage of William Barry. He went on to earn his BA of Fine Arts at the University of North Texas. "I search for the overlooked things such as brightly colored leaves next to a feather on a well worn path. There is so much that usually excites me. It is the moment when distractions are suppressed that I find countless compositions worthy of paper and pigment." Says Harrington.
