Description

Ready to take your swim technique to the next level? Did you know that SFDS's own Mr. Keller is a veteran (and survivor) of the English Channel swim? For this athletic adventure, Tom will give 4 swimmers three private training swim sessions (one at the Olympic Club pool and two in the Bay) to prepare you for your own "Race from Alcatraz"! Then on Sept. 25th, Gary Emich, of Lane Lines to Shore Lines will take you all out on the Bay for the swim of your life. Gary has been coaching Bay Area residents for many years, and his swims include the Amazon River (replete with piranhas); the peat black waters of Scotland's legendary Loch Ness; relay crossings of the English Channel and Boston Harbor; a relay circumnavigation of Manhattan Island; the 10-mile San Francisco Bay to Breaker swim and many others! Friday September 25th with a 7:00 a.m. jump. Swim should take anywhere between 30 and 50 minutes so families can easily get to work or school afterwards. If kids or partners are bundled, they can join for the boat ride over and follow the swimmers in (a limited number). The rest can wait and cheer at the shore.

This is a Live Event Item.

Special Instructions

Need to contact Ann Roberts to make arrangments for the boat. For up to 4 swimmers.
