A morning of Mimosas and Scones with a visit to a working 4 kilowatt "solar farm" in Noe Valley. San Francisco Solar Champion Peter Buckner invites you to his home to discover the ins and outs of solar power in San Francisco. You'll see and touch (ooohhh ahhh) the components of a system. We'll work through basic sizing of the project, and cover enough financial aspects (rebates, leasing, PG&E tariffs) to warrant the mimosas. In the end, you'll know enough to be able to navigate the myriad of Bay Area resources, find a solar power installer, and understand what he's trying to sell you. Time permitting, we'll also cover monitoring of home electricity usage and my electric car. Now is your chance to ask those probing questions. Al Gore is invited but not expected to attend.
