1997 Laurent-Perrier Brut Millesime

Laurent-Perrier makes vintage Champagne only in the very best years, when the characteristics of the harvest create a wine that is in keeping with a style and quality that merits the Laurent-Perrier signature. Both fine and rounded in its flavors, the palate shows preserved orange peel and a vanilla-like finish. The texture is silky and very fine, with lingering crispness. 

2006 Cakebread Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon bursts from the glass with fresh, smoky, cassis, blackberry and boysenberry aromas augmented by subtle cedar, black tea spice and sweet oak scents.  Supple on entry, the wine?s big, extracted, black fruit flavors coat the palate, while its firm underlying structure transports the rich fruit and zesty black tea spiciness into a long, savory finish.  Impressive now, this concentrated, yet elegant Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon will age gracefully in bottle for another 5-7 years.

2005 Gargiulo Vineyards Aprile, Super Oakville Blend
Aprile clearly is one of the best Sangiovese based wines in America coming from the great Gargiulo family that also owns OVX Cabernet and other great wines. excellent wine great with food and all things Italian.

Smooth and supple, with graceful plum and black cherry fruit that goes down easy. Elegant and polished. 

2007 Wente Riva Ranch Chardonnay, Arroyo Seco Monterey
Barrel fermentation and aging has married delicious mango, guava and papaya aromas surrounded by vanilla, coconut, and toast of the barrel with the lush tropical flavors characteristic of great Central Coast Chardonnays. 

Warre's Otima 10 Year Old Tawny Port

A ripe and rich tawny. Full-bodied, sweet and very toffeelike on the palate. Long finish. Dying for nuts and Stilton.

2004 Murphy Goode Cabernet Sauvignon, Alexander Valley
Small lots of Merlot and Petit Verdot are blended from time to time for added complexity. Layers of sweet black fruit and spice are the distinguishing feature of our Cabernet.

2006 Emtu Estate Wines Pinot Noir, Labyrinth Vineyards
Featured on the wine list at Chez Panisse. The wine sports a primarily light reddish hue with a hint of violet. Prototypical Russian River Valley nose featuring Bing cherries, strawberries and cola. A very comforting and elegant wine offering a panoply of red fruits, a touch of oak spice and a smooth and clean finish. Beautifully balanced and stellar in every way.

2007 Tower Brook Pinot Noir, San Luis Obispo County

The frisky '07 Tower Brook Pinot Noir shows refined dried strawberry flavors; elegant touch on the palate. 

2007 Rex Hill Pinot Noir
Another elegant, classic Oregon Pinot Noir from the folks at Rex Hill. Notes of Mirabelle plum, cherry, raspberry, soy and smoke intermingle to create this wine's alluring nose and palate, with fine-grained tannins and balance and a hint of whiskey-like peat. Precise, pure and nicely restrained.

2007 Ridge Vineyards "Three Valleys" Sonoma Zinfandel
Showcases the craft of winemaking, the deft balancing of aromas, flavors and textures that Ridge does so well. Rich, up front fruit make this wine immediately appealing, but there's plenty of spice and earthy intrigue to keep evolving over the next five years.

2003 Sella e Mosca Alghero DOC "Tanca Farra"

A gorgeous array of dark fruit, scorched earth, tar, smoke, licorice and menthol flavors explode out of the glass as the 2003 Alghero Tanca Farra dazzles the palate. A blend of Cannonau and Cabernet Sauvignon, it deftly combines the fruit of the former and the aromatics of the latter in a style that is both structured and weightless at the same time. A final note of sweetness lingers on the finish.

2007 Josef Leitz R�desheimer Drachenstein "Dragonstone" Riesling

There has never been a better example of the electric intensity and uncanny balance Leitz is able to achieve in this site between taut, invigorating acidity and a high level of residual sugar that comes off as barely sweet. Universally regarded as one of the three rising stars of the new generation of Rheingauers. Extraordinarily aromatic, vigorous wines from a vintner who grows more commanding each vintage. This is the wine that once was called R�desheimer Drachenstein, and it?s the wine David Schildknecht said was the best Riesling value in the world.

2006 Qupe Central Coast Syrah

Robert Parker writes: "Far superior is the generic 2006 Syrah Central Coast, which exhibits plenty of sweet cherries, an attractive earthy character, hints of licorice and roasted herbs, and a tasty, medium framework with pretty flavors as well as soft tannins. It is ideal for drinking over the next few years."

2006 Turnbull Old Bull Red
The robust, intriguing blend combines the rich black fruit flavors of merlot with the high-toned cherry notes of tempranillo and sangiovese, the depth and structure of cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon and the briar notes of barbera and syrah. That's a lot of oomph jam-packed into this decadent bottling, balanced by oak spice imparted by 16 months in French oak.
