National Geographic Explorers Summer Camp:


Kids can be kids this summer with all of the cool events at the Fairmont Scottsdale. An exciting new program will join the lineup this year as National Geographic and the Fairmont Scottsdale team up to bring National Geographic Explorers Camp to the Valley of the Sun.


Beginning Memorial Day and continuing through Labor Day, National Geographic Explorers Camp will join the amazing events at the Fairmont Scottsdale including Dive-In Movies, poolside games, the Sonoran Splash waterslides and the Fairmont Kid's Club.


Join us for the fun as we explore the beautiful Sonoran Desert, beat the heat in one of the Fairmont Scottsdale's five refreshing pools or just enjoy spending time together in a resort that is accomodating to every member of the family.

 Sonoran Splash
An oasis of family fun in the desert, the 6,000 square foot Sonoran Splash complex features two of the largest resort water slides in Arizona which tumble into the Sonoran Splash pools. For little tots, there's a zero entry deck area as well as a large sandbox complete with Tonka trucks and beach toys sure to keep them entertained for hours.  

 















 Kid's Club
This complimentary program is for kids ages 5 to 12 and offers a variety of fun-filled activities designed just for children. Newly renovated, the Kid's Club Headquarters features Wii's, XBOX, an air hockey table, board games, arts and crafts and even a few reptilian friends. Full-day and half-day Kid's Club programs are offered complimentary for children whose families are guests at the resort. A $12 fee for lunch and an afternoon snack is charged for children in the full-day program. (Fairmont Kid's Club is seperate from our National Geographic Explorers Camp) 

 















 Teen Hangout
Too old for chidlren's games but too young for spa treatments, teenagers can sometimes be left out of the fun. The Hangout, an ultra-swank, no adults zone caters to teens 13 to 17 and is complete with a private music room, a 42" plasma TV complete with a selection of more than 100 DVD's, a Cyber Cafe, three XBOX stations and, of course, the all-important couches for just "hanging out". Access is complimentary for all teen guests.  

 















 Dive-In Movies
Another great feature the Fairmont Scottsdale has to offer this summer is Dive-In Movies where a different family-friendly movie is shown on a big screen in the pool area. Dive-in, stay cool and relax with the family while watching great movies like Chicken Run, The Goonies and Daddy Day Camp. It's fun for the entire family!

Kid's and Teen's Programs
At the Fairmont Scottsdale, our year-round complimentary Kid's Club program and teen Hang Out are a must see! Kids Club is for children ages 5 to 12 looking for fun and adventure. Children will enjoy learning, exploring and participating in a variety of organized events and activities including scavenger hunts, games, books, movies, swimming, lagoon fishing and much more. The Hang Out is for teenagers 13 to 17 and offers XBOX games, movies, an internet cafe and more.

For the kids ages 5 to 12, we have created a fantastic interactive Kid's Club. It is located next to the Fairmont Fitness Center on Level 1.

    Kid's Club is complimentary for guests staying overnight at the resort.

    Kid's Club is available year round, seven days a week with full and half-day programs offered.  (Please see below for hours.)

(All calls or messages made after regular Kid's Club hours will be returned by a Kid's Club counselor prior to the start of the next day's session.)

For teenagers ages 13 to 17, we have created an ultra-trendy Hang Out room.  Located next to the Fairmont Fitness Center on Level 1.


The Hang Out offers a private music room that has three stations to watch/listen to music videos as well as a 42' plasma TV complete with a selection of more than 100 top DVD movies.  What would a Hang Out be without a Cyber Cafe for checking email or chatting with friends back home, a refreshment center and snack area as well as three X-Box stations and, of course, the all important couch for just hanging out?

    The Hang Out is complimentary for guests staying overnight at the resort.
