This year's fund in need is quite practical.  The fund this year will be used to update our disaster supplies.  Every school in the state is required to be ready to keep its students for 3 days in case of an earthquake.  This means we need to have food for the students and faculty for 72 hours.  Additionally, we need to update our first aid supplies and battery-operated equipment such as lanterns, radios, etc.  We have food and equipment but since it was bought at the same time, it has all expired at the same time.  This is our replacement year.  The cost of our updating and enhancing of the emergency supplies is approximately $4,000 - $5,000.
