Non-invasive inspection of the readily accessible systems and components of the house, including structural; exterior; roof system; plumbing, electrical, and heating systems; interior; insulation and ventilation; fireplaces and solid fuel-burning appliances. A home inspection is designed to determine whether all of the essential components of a house are present and doing their job at the time of the inspection.

May be used for a presale inspection of a prospective home, or a pre-renovation, maintenance, course of construction or progress inspection, or to inspect a relatively new home as warranty approaches expiration.
