Description

ONE or TWO PERSONS will spend ONE DAY and NIGHT in the field with an Idaho Department of Fish and Game wolf biologist tracking and monitoring an active wolf pack.  You will learn about wolf biology and recovery, how they are monitored, and experience the habitat they thrive in.  Viewing wolves at a rendezvous site, checking a trapline, and possibly helping radio collar a wolf is our desire for this trip; however this is subject to wolf pack activity and flexibility of the bidder. There are no guarantees of sighting a wolf; however, a good likelihood of hearing wolves howl. Camp cooks will prepare dinner night of arrival and breakfast and lunch the next day. This trip takes place 3-4 hours from Boise. Participants should be flexible when scheduling this trip. TRIP AVAILABLE JUNE through AUGUST, 2009. (No holidays or weekends). Participants must provide own camp gear, tents, sleeping bags, binoculars, camera and provide own transportation to the camp area. Unique educational opportunities.

Special Instructions

Winning bidders will be contacted by Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation staff. Due to the unusual quality of this wildlife trip, winning bidders must be flexible and open to last-minute trip plans. This trip not available prior to June or after August 2009. Trip dates are non-negotiable.

PLEASE NOTE:  In addition to the winning bid price a 3.45% credit card fee, plus 35 cents per transaction will be applied to each item.  A 6% Idaho Sales Tax will be added to the final bid price for all land-based trips, quilt and framed prints.  For all navigable water-based trips, no sales tax will be charged due to Federal law.  All sales are final.
