Description
Experience and learn about fish sampling in a beautiful alpine lake environment situated in Idaho's Salmon region. TWO PERSONS will assist Idaho Department of Fish and Game fishery biologists in lake sampling to determine the status of fish community, success of stocking program, evaluate angler use and other important monitoring. There are over 1000 alpine lakes of various sizes scattered throughout the Salmon region. Fish biologists will dialogue with winning bidder to determine which lake to perform survey. Winning bidder will need to supply appropriate back-packing equipment including pack, tent, pad and sleeping bag, clothing. Freeze dried food and sampling equipment will be provided. TRIP AVAILABLE IN MID-JUNE through LATE AUGUST 2009. Winning bidder needs to provide transportation to Salmon, Idaho. (Please see Special Note below)
Special Instructions
Winning bidders need to be comfortable with high elevation, able to participate in physically rigorous activity, cope with inclement weather and possibility of smoke from forest fires.
Winning bidders will be contacted by Idaho Fish and Wildlife Foundation staff.
PLEASE NOTE: An additional charge of 3.45% credit card fee, plus 35 cents per transaction will be applied to the winning bid price of each item. A 6% Idaho Sales Tax will be added to the final bid price for all land-based trips, quilt and framed prints. For all navigable water-based trips, no sales tax will be charged due to Federal law. All sales are final.
