Description

Join an Idaho Fish and Game biologist for a beautiful hike in the Sawtooth National Forest locating a wolf pack using radio telemetry to conduct a wolf pup count. The trip entails a 3-hour drive to a remote area and subsequent hike to the wolf pack. The wolf pup count will require the ability to sit quietly and wait, opportunity to test your wolf howling skills and count the wolves without being seen or heard. TWO PERSONS must be in good physical condition, able to walk on potentially difficult terrain in the dark and be exceptionally patient. The trip begins in the afternoon until midnight. A "quick" dinner and breakfast is included. Winning bidder will need lunch, snacks, water, hiking boots, outdoor wear, mosquito repellent, head lamp, camping gear. TRIP TAKES PLACE JUNE 15 THROUGH AUGUST 15, 2009. Winning bidder provides transportation to the trail site.

PLEASE NOTE: An additional charge of 3.45% credit card fee, plus 35 cents per transaction will be applied to the winning bid price of each item. A 6% Idaho Sales Tax will be added to final bid price for all land-based trips, quilt and framed prints. For all navigable water-based trips, no sales tax will be charged due to Federal law. All sales are final.
