Description

On Jan. 6, 2009, The Seeing Eye had the unique privilege of ringing the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange, in recognition of the organization's 80th Anniversary.

The NYSE issued this special commemorative medallion in solid brass. On one side is a relief of a battling bear and bull.  The back is engraved with the date of the event and the name "The Seeing Eye."

One interesting note: The day The Seeing Eye rang the bell was one of the few days that month that the market closed "up" for the day!

Special Instructions

There were only 10 of these special medallions created, one for each of the Seeing Eye representatives who rang the bell, including Seeing Eye President & CEO Jim Kutsch, several members of the Board of Trustees, plus golden retriever puppy Nancy.
