Description
A soulful yellow Lab puppy sits in a Seeing Eye dog harness, seemingly thinking about what he hopes to become someday. Painted in an impressionistic style, this work of art is based on a photo that was used many years ago as a note card at The Seeing Eye.
Painted in acrylic, this artwork is on canvas, measures 8.5” X 11” and is decoratively framed in a cherry-stained wood. The artist recently found another undated pose of the same puppy, and judging from the size of the paws, it was most assuredly a male.
Special Instructions
Margo Volterra specializes in custom collages, and in portraits of pets and people. Her aim is to bring out the unique personality or surroundings of every subject. As a youngster, she attended the Art Student’s League, in New York City. She graduated from Boston University with a BFA in painting. Ms. Volterra has exhibited at Institute for Contemporary Art, Boston, Mass., and in numerous local shows in New England. Her collages and paintings are hanging in homes throughout the USA.
