Award-winning wines from Rocca Family Vineyards are yours for the taking, and tasting!  The winner of this package will receive an array of Rocca wines, including a magnum of their 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon, a magnum of their 2004 Syrah, and a vertical of Syrah in a wooden box, all crafted by renowned winemaker Celia Masyczek.  In addition, the Rocca’s newest winemaker, Paul Colantuoni, will host a private tasting for six of Rocca wines including those Syrah vintages from the vertical.

The 2002 Cabernet has come out on top in a number of regional and international “Best of the Best” blind tastings. The vines for this wine were carefully grown on Rocca’s Grigsby Vineyard in Yountville, and harvested at the peak of flavor in late September 2002.

Jim Laube of the Wine Spectator awarded the 2004 Syrah 94 points, calling it, “A seductive style that’s rich and polished, with a supple texture and generous ripe plum, currant, boysenberry and blackberry fruit, all of which adds depth and dimension. Finishes with round tannins and great length. Drink now through 2013.”

Paul Colantuoni, Rocca’s rising star winemaker, is a Princeton grad who was mentored by Celia Masyczek. He will share his vast knowledge of wine with you at your private tasting.
