Handwoven Silk Shawl
For more than 500 years, families of talented artisans in the Kashmir Valley have drawn inspriation for their rich embroidery from the pallette and flora of the the Himalayan foothills. Using the traditional ari double-chain stitch (much like crochet), they work complex designs to create vibrant patterns on shawls, jackets, and coats.
