THE STORY OF CASK 23-
In 1974, winery founder Warren Winiarski decided that one lot of wine from S.L.V. was so beautiful and deliciously distinct that it should be bottled separately. Named CASK 23 for the large wooden cask in which it was aged, the wine became one of the first proprietary blends from a single vineyard estate in the Napa Valley. Today, the wine is a blend of the most distinctive fruit from the S.L.V. and FAY estate vineyards. Made only in great vintage years, it continues to be a benchmark Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon known for its classic elegance, structure, and ageability.
