Description
This is a pitcher by Roger M. Galuska of Rock Garden Pottery, Rochester, NH.
This pitcher is done in Robin's Egg glaze, which Roger developed and mixes himself, with a design adapted from the potter's Polish-American heritage. Roger etches his designs in free-hand. They are adapted from Polish wood carvings done in a town called Zakopane (Zah-ko-pah-nyeh) in the Tantra Mountains of Southern Poland. Zakopane happens to be near the town where Roger's own family comes from, making the connection to him and his pottery.
The pitcher holds almost two quarts. It is high-fired stoneware, so it is microwave and dishwasher-safe.
This is a Live Event Item.
