"The Film Club" is David Gilmour's moving account of a crucial and pivotal two years in his life and the life of his son, Jesse.  Gilmour lets his son, who is disinterested in school, drop out if he agrees to watch three movies a week.  This book reminds us that great films can teach us in the same, profound ways that great books do.
