Jack Hofflander (1920-2003)

This limited edition serigraph, "Haitian Villagers" by Jack Hofflander was printed in 1981. 

Hofflander, a listed artist, studied at the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts and at the Art Students League in New York.  He lived in the West Indies for a period of time, where his admiration for primitive painting and his love of American primitives combined to develop his unique style.  A sophisticated, primitive landscape painter, Hofflander displays an attention to detail and a regard for all things small and precious.
