Description

Package Includes:
Along the Way-Travel Stories by James Maxwell, Lydia Rand, and Skip Wollenberg (book signed by all authors)
Three travelers, as disparate as it gets; an artist, a poet and a geologist recount their journeys on many continents and climes. Their travelling companions and the people and situations they encounter may raise your hackles, bring on a shudder or a laugh.

Junkyard Dreams-A Novel by Jeanette Boyer (book signed by author)
Rita Vargas owns an automobile junkyard oustide of Santa Fe. Her property abuts a hill with a spectacular view, making the junkyard a magnet for ubiquitous developers. But Rita's land has been in her family for generations, and she doesn't want to sell. Also, her son Parker, a talented artist, uses salvaged pieces from the junkyard for his sculptures. This seriously political but realistically compelling portrayal of land conflicts confronts the trade-offs between improvement and preservation.

Home of the Heart-Mound City Stories by Elizabeth Mills Irwin (book signed by author)
Reading the lyrical memoir of Elizabeth Irwin, we come to know her loving and humorous family and the homely little town she adored as a child. There was so much to see and do and smell in Mound City. So many fascinating people to count among your friends.

Walking Tractor and Other Country Tales by Bruce Patterson (book signed by author)
Walking Tractor is just one of the off jobs Bruce Patterson has gotten good at. Set in Northern California's Anderson Valley, these personal essays tell of Patterson's love of rural living and his experiences working as a logger, fleece stomper, weed whacker, and in other seasonal and physically demanding jobs. Patterson's tales of tough work and end of the day carousing are insightful, honest, touching, and best of all, a hoot.

godmeat by Blake Moore (includes a digital version)
A 128 page collection of poetry, prose, color artwork, and video (the book comes packaged with a poem movie DVD).

From Edison to Marconi-The First Thirty Years of Recorded Music by David J. Steffen (book signed by author)
This history examines a newly created technology and industry in search of itself. It follows the story from the earliest efforts to capture sound, to the fight among wire, cylinder and disk recordings for primacy in the market, to the growth and development of musical genres, record companies and business practices.

A Graceful Farewell-Putting Your Affairs in Order by Maggie Watson (includes a CD with fill in forms for computer users)
A step by step guide designed to give you and your loved ones the gift of peace of mind. It will enable you to gather all of your personal and financial data, organize your thoughts on how to distribute your belongings, and state all your wishes with unmistakable clarity.

Nature's Way-Observations of a Good Earthkeeper by Marion Dusoir Ennes
These essays mirror the final career of a woman of many parts: student, wife and mother, caring professional, executive, and then, "in retirement" amateur naturalist. In 1986 Marion became editor of The Warbler, newsletter of the Alan Devoe Bird Club. In 1988 Marion began writing an illustrated column titled "Nature's Way", covering a wide range of wildlife and ecological topics, with a unique blend of scientific fact and insight. In 1991, the Columbia County Environmental Management Council gave Marion their "Good Earthkeeping Award". It was Marion's hope that we might, with respect and appreciation, open our eyes and ears and hearts to the other beings who inhabit our natural world.
