Description
I am a trained labor doula and certified lactation counselor offering doula services to a KNPR listener or family member. A doula offers continuous emotional and physical support for a woman during her labor and birth. Package includes two pre-natal visits at your home, continual support through labor and birth, one postpartum visit and 24-hour phone and e-mail support.
Special Instructions
Doulas have been shown to improve a woman's feelings towards her birth, reduce the use of unnecessary interventions, establish better breastfeeding rates. The presence of a trained doula has also been shown to shorten labor. A doula works with a woman's care team to achieve her birthing goals.
