The fourth annual Newport Concours d'Elegance is a gathering of fine motorcars, fashion and splendid fare. And it takes place in Rhode Island's fabled City by the Sea - Newport!

Enjoy the summer playground of the celebrated Four Hundred, feasting your eyes on historic glamour - including many of the significant automobiles of yesteryear. Many of these vehicles will feel right at home near the "summer cottages" of the Gilded Age!

The Newport Concours d'Elegance is a charitable organization, committed to the conservation, restoration and preservation of the vintage automobile and to local charities. Beneficiaries of this year's event include the Boys and Girls Clubs of  Newport County and the Collectors Foundation.

The high bidder and a guest will be invited to participate in a number of exciting events, including:

• The Concours Road Tour* on Saturday, May 30. This includes a visit to Park Place Holdings ("A Marina for Cars"), a tour and tasting at Sakonnet Vineyards and luncheon at the Carnegie Abbey Club. A private art collection tour is optionally available.
  


• The formal Evening Mansion Dinner d'Elegance.  This black-tie event begins with passed hors d'oeuvres and jazz. This is followed by elegantly-presented, formal culinary dinner delights and later, a charity auction as well as desert and dancing.


• The Concours d'Elegance itself. This runs all day Sunday, May 31^st and will feature cars ranging in age from the late 19^th Century through the early 1970s. A concentration of classic cars of the Art deco area as well as several vintage sports cars are due to attend.

Saturday evening hotel accommodations for two are also included.
