Sail in the 12 Metre World Championships off Newport! Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure as you take a seat on a stealth 12-Metre yacht during the 12 Metre World Championships, September 22 -- 27, 2009. You'll spend an afternoon as a non-participant observer aboard one of the 12 Metre yachts racing through the waters of Rhode Island Sound, where the "Twelves" competed in nine America's Cup competitions, starting in 1958. Columbia -- winner of that initial race -- will participate in this event. In all, 25 boats from throughout the world are scheduled to compete, and we're saving you a seat!
