Description
This exquisite hand thrown stoneware bowl is glazed in a reduction copper red with an iron cobalt saturated trailing glaze underneath that makes the black silvery areas. circa 1989. Signed, Patton.
Matthew Patton is a professional ceramic artist located in Seattle, Washington. His work is primarily decorative with a heavy emphasis on glaze effects. Work is fire to 2,300 degrees F in a 80 cubic foot gas reduction kiln.
Nearly all of his pottery is food, oven and microwave safe. Each piece is handmade on the wheel or with slab construction in porcelain or stoneware.
