Join violist (and Urban mom) Patricia Heller for a one-of-a-kind glimpse into the workings of the San Francisco Opera. Depending on your interests, and the events scheduled on the day of your tour, we will design a sampling of events, which might include:

• Sitting in on an orchestra reading rehearsal


• Touring the "insides" of the War Memorial Opera House: the wardrobe department, wig shop, rehearsal spaces, orchestra library, prop department, or the Koret recording studio.


• Sitting in on an open dress rehearsal for one of the summer's mainstage productions


• Watching a rehearsal from backstage

We'll choose a time during the 2009 summer season that fits your schedule. The productions this summer will be Gershwin's Porgy and Bess, Verdi's La Traviata, and Puccini's Tosca.
