Fund-A-Need provides a way for families to directly support specific areas of need at the school. This year's Fund-A-Need benefits Urban's Music Department, which is a vibrant and integral part of Urban's program. Central to the philosophy of music education at Urban is the idea that music is a language everyone can learn and that with proper support and guidance, all young musicians are capable of excellence. Every dollar raised during this year's Fund-a-Need will help provide necessary equipment and instruments, including a much-needed piano, as well as the costs for performing at the Herbst Theater, to keep admission accessible for all members of the Urban community.
