Ryan Pinot Noir 2005: "Red berry, soft cherry, cola and mocha. Only 61 cases vinted." “Peggy Ryan is one of the hottest makers of Gary’s Pinots, and this pretty and lush wine is one of her best efforts to date. A fresh and vibrant Pinot from a great vineyard!”
Two Bottles of Blacksmith Merlot (label says '07, but it's actually '06). Variety: 100% Washington State Merlot "We get the grapes for our Merlot from Washington State's Yakima Valley. There, they are able to grow consistently fine, fruity, well-structured grapes, well suited to making excellent Merlot. We ferment and age our Merlot in small French oak barrels." Description: Flavors of blueberries, plums and especially cherries, with a lovely soft beguiling bouquet of rose blossoms and chocolate. Crisply structured with tight fruit, soft tannins and a medium-weight extended finish.
Two bottles of Ridge, California Zinfandel 2006 (San Luis Obispo ) is garnet in color with generous high-toned raspberry and red cherry fruits, violet-floral, candied plums, creamy oak, and a sweet appeal on the nose. Sweet and creamy cherry fruit, gentle tannins, medium body, gravelly earth. This is an approachable wine with a long finish.
One bottle of Tamayo Red 2006, Contra Costa County: Our newest Red Blend is from our own estate vineyards in far east Contra Costa County, California. We have taken 8 varietals - Petit Sirah, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Tinta Cao, Malbec, Alicante Bouschet, and Carmeniere - to create a unique blend that is perfect for everyday enjoyment. This elegant bottling reflects "new world" character with vibrant red fruit and expansive varietal spice aromatics reminiscent of classic Rhone style wines. The palate is full of lush, mouth filling flavors that softly linger with notes of vanilla and crushed wild herbs haunting the long finish. We know you will find this red absolutely delicious! Gold metal at Best of Appellation Awards: Appellation America and Silver at San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2009.
One bottle of Perry Creek Muscat Canelli 2007, Fair Play, CA: Ripe pink grapefruit and honeysuckle blossoms highlight the aromas of this Muscat. Candied citrus fruit with ripe spiced pears and honey. This wine has bright acid and is clean and lively with a smooth finish.
One bottle of Coopers Creek Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2008, New Zealand: "Crisp and refreshing, reverberating with aromas and flavours of citrus, gooseberry and passion fruit. Plus just a touch of herb on the lively finish. A quintessential New Zealand Sauvignon."
