American Art Moderne brass and silver trimmed desk lamp made C.1935 by Silver Crest, maker of fine place settings and deskware.  According to the previous owner, this heavy brass lamp (rear profile) came from a ship.  Finish is largely intact with some patina, and the lamp lights!  Aluminum diffusers evenly soften the output of three 12-inch fluorescent tubes, controlling light to a small area in front of the unit.  Ideal for chart lamp or reading musical scores during a concert.  Silver name plate is blank.
