Special Instructions

Interesting facts: Antique Victorian, Edwardian and Art Deco "stick" pins and hat pins did not have "caps", the only exception to this rule is a style of pin/brooch called a "Jabot". Stick pin brooches were not made with safety caps until the 1960s.  Although we term these pins "Stick Pins" today; the actual historical name of this piece is "Scarf Pin". This pin would have been used to hold a tie/scarf in place or as a decorative element in a hat amongst flowers/feathers.
