D.L. & Co.'s Opium Poppy candle is a blend of Madagacar vanilla, green pepper, pink lotus concrete and perilla absolute. This brilliant fragrance is poured into a large etched black scalloped vessel, nestled in a black box emblazoned with garnet poppies nodding in coils of metallic gold clouds all held securely closed with a black silk ribbon. The binomial name means, loosely, the "sleep-bringing poppy," referring to it's narcotic properties. Opium poppies have captured the imagination for hundreds of years.
