Description

HANDY ANDY

Do Sukkot in style in a bamboo sukkah lovingly constructed by our very own Andy Farber. If you are not a congregant of WCT (and maybe if you are) you may be asking yourself "who is this Andy Farber and why should I let him in my backyard?" First, he is married to Joan the Rabbi. So he has - as they say -- "street cred." But even if he weren't, are you really going to argue with someone who harvests his own bamboo? We think not. This guy takes his sukkahs seriously (say that five times fast).  When the structure is complete, you can bet he'll bang on it a few times to determine its ability to withstand both the elements and withering looks from envious neighbors. Here are the details as described by Andy the Builder: "8 feet on a side and 8 feet tall, assembled in your backyard for Sukkot, 5770.   Ready to decorate; schach (the roof) and decorations not included, but ideas for them are free!" (Just like the other best things in life!)

Special Instructions

Assembly date to be arranged at a time mutually agreeable to both winner and builder and winner must be local to Westchester County, NY. Builder must be treated with dignity and respect, and he must have access to the restroom facilities. The sukkah is a temporary structure and there should be no expectation that its presence in your yard will add value to your home. Darn!
