Description
Silver Oak Cellars has been one of Napa Valley's preeminent Cabernet Sauvignon makers since its first harvest back in 1972. The 1986 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon offered tonight has a medium ruby-red color with a sweet nose of blackberry, chocolate and dill. According to Silver Oak's winemaker's notes, this smooth, elegant and balanced Cab has a medium-long fruity finish and is suitable for drinking now through 2010. This crowd-friendly 3-liter bottle size makes it the perfect centerpiece for a very special meal.

1992 Ponzi Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Reserve
Ponzi Vineyards is one of the Willamette Valley’s founding wineries, producing award-winning vintages since 1970. Tonight's high bidder will take home a rare 3L bottle of Ponzi’s 1992 Pinot Noir Reserve, a notably exceptional vintage. In true Ponzi tradition, this elegant wine features dark fruit on the nose and palate, some spice as well as some herb and earth notes. After its 1994 release, the '92 Pino Noir Reserve made Wine Spectator's prestigious top 100 list, coming in at No. 55. The same year, both Wine Spectator and The Wine Advocate awarded it 92 points, a true mark of distinction.
