Certainly the musical (and for many the spiritual) center of the Yale woodwind-and-brass world, the Yale Concert Band is known for its performances of unusual music in a variety of settings. Composed of approximately 70 brass, woodwind, and percussion players, the Concert Band has collaborated with such famous guest artists as Benny Goodman, Eubie Blake, Peter Schickele, Max Roach, and with composers Karel Husa, Dana Wilson, David Diamond, Jonathan Berger, Steven Stucky, and Byron Adams, and has played behind narration by Walter Cronkite.
