Dear ladies and gentles, we entreat you to join our company upon a fair evening in May, whereupon we shall entertain one another with a light reading. The play shall be “A Midsummer Nights Dream,” a very good piece of work. Afix your name on this scroll and your hosts will assign you a role to read, according to the script. Whe’r you appear in fine trim or casual, we shall not dwell on form, ‘tis all one. Marry, we shall have food and ale and music for our interlude! This be proper stuff, so revel with us as we crush a cup!
