This beautiful pine needle gourd is 7" tall and 30" in diameter.  Shaped and carved from the top and side of a canteen-shaped gourd, coated inside with wood stain and painted outside with archival ink before being coated with polyurethane.  Stitched with synthetic sinew using pine needles from the woods of North Carolina.
