Auction Project - Blue Room

Description
This dazzling project has to be seen to be believed!! The Blue Room children designed and made the metallic clay beads that were strung on necklaces, earrings and a bracelet. The beads started out as precious metal clay, which was molded and fired. The kids worked the clay individually and each child had to make a number of choices; they chose the embossed paper for the pattern of the clay, they chose the shape (triangle, square, circle or oval) and lastly either a stamp for the disc or a cut out shape (star, heart, oval or circle). These metallic beads were strung with a blue stone, called Apatite, on sterling silver wire to make the jewelry. The photos do not do this amazing work justice; stop by the Primary entrance hall to see the display - you will be amazed!
