Description
Talyn Hartunian Credit graduated in 2005 from The Rhode Island School of Design with a Bachelor’s degree in painting, and a concentration in creative writing. She is a Boston native and currently lives in the Boston area. In addition to painting, Talyn works as the Passport Primary Coordinator of Extended Day and Vacation Programming at the Cambridge Montessori School.
Her mixed media paintings are composed of a complex layering of color and mark making, which subtly conjure eclectic and personal associations. She creates through a process which balances intention with chance and intuitively calls for a diverse variety of painting, drawing, and sewing materials, found objects, and collage images and patterns.
She has been exhibiting her work in galleries, exhibition spaces and auctions since 1999, and has always actively pursued a variety of commissions and private sales. Most recently, she has had solo exhibitions at Buckingham, Browne and Nichols School (Cambridge, MA) and Mayfair on the Hill Salon (Boston, MA). She also recently participated in a group show at the Gallery at Spencer Lofts (Chelsea, MA).
A complete representation of Talyn’s current, past and commissioned work, as well as a full resume and artist statement, can be found on her website at www.talynhc.com.
