From the Village Voice review: "This slightly upscale Dominican restaurant slings the usual combo of Hispano-Caribbean fare, and the comfortable attractive interior ––dominated by a pair of flat screen TVs that feature swimming fish ––and elevated food quality easily justifies the dollar or two more you pay per entrée. On a first visit, my pal and I stuck with the basics: a serving of the Cuban pork roast pernil consisting of big, garlic-gobbed nuggets of meat, and a freshly fried chicharron de pollo––tart small pieces of fried chicken. Dotted with gandules (pigeon peas), the yellow rice was particularly distinguished."
