Brent Celek signed Eagles Jersey Brent Celek was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 5th Round (162nd Overall) of the 2007 NFL Draft. He signed a 4-year contract with the team on May 30, 2007. Celek became the starting tight end for the Eagles after L. J. Smith departed via free agency to the Baltimore Ravens. Celek's 19 catches during the 2009 NFL Playoffs were the third most in NFL history for a tight end. The 131 yards he posted in a Week 9 are a franchise record, as are the 10 catches he hauled in during the NFC Championship game. He caught two touchdowns during the 2008 NFC Championship Game vs. the Arizona Cardinals.
