Description
During The Blue Jays Community Theme, on “Qq” week the Blue Jay’s studied quilts. They learned that quilts can tell a story and that traditionally they are a collaborative piece of art work.
This study led to the creation of this magnificent communal quilt. It was a team effort of all the Blue Jays children. The children were asked to draw their favorite place on the quilt's squares, and the quilt tells their story.
This quilt looks beautiful on both sides, and can serve as a wall decoration or as a child's blanket.
Many thanks to the Blue Jays teachers who helped to inspire the children. Special thanks to Ms Wanda Torres from Ohio, who put this quilt together in a grand Midwest tradition.
