Nomi Wagner is a full-time portrait artist located in Ventura County. She specializes in personalized commissioned paintings and drawings of children, adults, and families. Nomi is proud to be a Corel Painter Master and gives private classes in PainterIX Digital Watercolor.

Nomi attended UC Berkeley and USC, receiving her B.S.in Dental Hygiene. After practicing dental hygiene for 18 years, she turned her lifetime photography hobby into a 20-year career as a portrait photographer in West Los Angeles. Introduced to computer graphics in 1992 by her husband, Gerry Beane, she attended UCLA and UC Santa Barbara for additional instruction in art history, drawing, graphic design, and color theory.

While at the California Art Institute in Westlake Village, Nomi studied traditional life drawing and watercolor portrait painting with artists Aaron Westerberg, Steve Walters, Jeremy Lipking, and Neil Boyle and is currently studying life drawing with Carlisle Cooper at Ventura College.

She has attended drawing and painting workshops of artists Arne Westerman, Alex Powers, Linda Jo Russell, Robert Burridge, Don Andrews, Jim Kosvanec, Cathy Quiel and Tony Couch.

Gerry and Nomi have 5 children and 10 grandchildren and live at Mandalay Beach in Channel Islands, California.
