San Francisco Bay Area jewelry designer, Judy Liu, fitted her studio with flamework tools about a year ago.  Using the ancient glass technique of lampworking, Judy uses a gas fueled torch to melt rods of clear and colored glass, then forms beads by blowing and shaping with a variety of tools and hand movements.  Each unique bead is carefully handcrafted, with a focus on color vibrancy.  Judy finds inspiration in nature, harmonizing choices in her signature 3-bead pendants.
