Soon after starting at the Ritz, Ron gained both a 4-star rating from Chronicle Food Critic Michael Bauer, as well as the highest honor of the Mobil Five-Star award. Ron is also famous for being the first American to ever clinch the Iron Chef title in Japan.. he beat Sakai! His resume also includes Masa's, Charles of Nob Hill (another 4-star rating), and he was Thomas Keller's sous chef at The French Laundry. Ron, along with staff, will come to your home and prepare an unforgettable dinner, a complete tasting menu showcasing some of Ron's most exceptional dishes and wine pairings, for you and your spouse, and up to 8 guests. The menu decisions will be a collaborative effort between you and Ron. WAIT, THERE'S MORE: To further stimulate and delight your senses, Charmian Stewart, a Wade Thomas parent and fantastic musician, will play the violin for you and your guests, creating a rich and elegant ambiance for this unforgettable evening. Charmian has been a member of the San Jose Symphony, as well as the Fresno Philharmonica and the Sacramento Chamber Orchestra, among others; she has played all over the world, and now teaches private Suzuki violin lessons.
