Special Instructions
After almost 20 years of teaching college classes, I've left academe to paint. While my degrees are in other subjects, the coursework always included art classes, starting at the Rhode Island School of Design in the early 1980s and ending with a 5-year apprenticeship with Salvatore Casa, a distinguished Northern California painter and winner of the American Watercolor Society's Gold Medal. Today, in addition to working in the studio, I teach watercolor workshops at the Crocker Art Museum, Shriner's Hopital for Children and various Northern California locations.
