Larry Smith is in his 16^th year as a sports anchor and correspondent for CNN and Headline News.  While he can be seen on the “Morning Express” show and on weekend mornings on HLN, his primary role is reporting from the major sporting events, covering over 50 major championships to date. 

Larry has been named a Distinguished Alumnus of EIU and Lake Land College, and serves on our university’s foundation.  Larry has also awarded tens of thousands of dollars in college scholarships through many generous donations to his celebrity golf tournament.
