Beneath the rivers of Tidewater Virginia are the accretions of eons.  Mud, rocks, trees and plants, fossils, skeletons of humans and animals, and the detritus of all those who lived along the rivers' banks have malded together under the salt water all the way to the earth's core.  These riverbeds hold our region's ancient history which I can only imagine.
