I discovered the joys and healing powers of art when I was going through some difficult times in my life.  I believe creative expression of the artist's spirit within, enriches the giver and receiver, as well as enhancing the beauty of our outer world. Since retiring from my career as a public school teacher, I am so thankful to have more opportunities to pursue art in my own life.  I take classes at the Peninsula Fine Arts Center, as well as many workshops.  I have studied at the Sedona Art Center in Arizona, as well as an Art Therapy Workshop in FLorence, Italy.  Currently I am studying Sumi-E, Asian Brush Painting.  I continue to seek more opportunities to learn and grow as an artist.  I am excited about all that I am learning and sharing with others on this wonderful journey.
