Jan Ledbetter's award-winning mixed-media paintings are pictorial tapestries layering observations and imagination, design elements, abstract motifs and personal symbols. She explores the relationships of value, shape, texture and color leading us on a creative journey through each painting.  Balancing painting and teaching, her work reflects the joy and passion she brings to every aspect of her life.  She has taught and exhibited for over thirty years and is represented in numerous private collections.

Jan has earned signature membership status in the prestigious National Watercolor Society, also the Southern Watercolor Society, and the Virginia Watercolor Society.  She holds a MFA from Syracuse University.
